Kawhi Leonard is actively engaged in his recovery from an injury sustained several months ago. The Los Angeles Clippers’ star is expected to have limited participation in the upcoming season’s training camp. This situation is particularly challenging for him, especially following the departure of Paul George, who has signed with the Philadelphia 76ers during the offseason.
Fans are understandably concerned about the ramifications of George’s exit, but Leonard remains optimistic about his ability to adapt. At the Clippers’ media day, he conveyed his thoughts on the absence of his teammate.
“He obviously made things easier on the court for players, but as far as my mental focus going into the game, I don’t feel like it’s going to be harder for me personally. I didn’t look at, for anybody I’m on the court with; I don’t look at him to be my savior,” Leonard stated.
“I take in my own role and the challenges that I have to face every game and go in there and try to dominate the game,” he added.
